You need #8- 4 wire, isolated ground system. #8-4wire UF is code if you bury it and use a pedestal weather proof receptacle. The disconnect receptacle has to be not less than 2 feet high and no more than 6 1/2 feet high.

USA Best is to use 6 gage copper or larger for the (2) power conductors and the neutral. You can install 10 gage or larger for the equipment ground. All conductors - including the equipment ground - must be insulated.

6 gauge copper. 8 gauge is for a 40 amp breaker and 10 gauge is for a 30.

you need 6/3 with ground...black =hot...red=hot....white = neutral...green or bare=ground......it has to be a four prong receptacle and you will need to have a four prong plug on whatever you plan to use on this outlet..
