As a result of the Don Imus mess, hip hop is taking a lot of heat. People are saying that men need to stop using certain words; stop disrespecting women in their music. But, what about women disrespecting women?? There are some female recording artists that do the very same thing. How come no one is talking about that?

Because it's easier for people to point the finger at the men, however women who use disrespectful remarks in their music are just as bad if not worst then the men. These women need to understand that they are a bad representation of women when they do that. And then they want to get upset when somebody uses the terms in relationship to them. Learn to respect yourself women!!

That's true, and disrespecting themselves. Lil Kim is a perfect example. But i think the true issue here is who do these politicians think they are? They get paid to "politic" rappers get paid to rap. Freedom of speech trumps anything anybody wants to say. And if you think the term hoe or b**** degrades YOU, then don't consider yourself a hoe or a b****, most video girls KNOW they aren't hoes or b***es. Now the N word (not used for obvious reasons) is a different story. Blacks have no problem using it amongst themselves and that's fine, but whats not fine is using that term to show hate, saying "what's up my n...." is not hateful and is just another word. What that word means to the person using it is what matters. And lastly, "nappy headed hoes," Imus, you are an idiot.
