kevins-virtuous-woman, your husband sounds like a strong man. The true definition of a winner. I too am respectful and protective and supportive of my bride of 20+ years.

Some men do. I noticed since I entered college, the men are much more respectful to me, but I think alot of women take courtesy for love which is not all men's intentions. The men I meet treat me respectfully because I carry myself respectfully

Some men not all have forgotten what
it means 2 properly care for their woman
in everyway. The respect is not there
most of the time and they feel that they
(men) are entitled 2 be tooken care of like kids,
we are not your mamas.
I think that as time passes the men or not
doing their jobs in raising their sons 2 be
honorable towards woman.
Also men should lead by example, treat your
woman the way you would want a man 2 treat
your own mother.
With that said I do find some men 2 be
charming and have a respect for woman but yet
these men pick the wrong woman gets hurt than
takes it out on the next woman who probably
deserves 2 be treated like a lady.
Men treat woman properly and be picky with the woman
you choose don't put us all in the same catagory!
There is still good men and women lets find each other!

Men are suppose to make us feel safe and protected its their lot in life.
Most men are not gentlemen.
All women deserve to be treated like ladies. Even when they are not acting like one. Just because on does not have manners doesn't mean you should lower yourself to their level.
I think everyone has fallen short of manners and being honorable. Men are not really gentlemen and women are no longer ladies. Its a rare find when you do find one that is.

my husband makes me feel safe and protected and I feel we are part of the younger gen he is 33 im 26. He shows me everyday that I am loved and respected.
I think it depends on the guy and the lady. some women are independant, some women are old fashioned. some are a mix of both.

I don't know, women these days start telling me they wanna join the army, and I'm starting to think they can take care of themselves, I don't have to give them that much respect. Saying, women should have equal rights as men, we should be able to join the army. But I think that's giving respect. Not letting women join the army. If this offends anybody, THINK! YOU'RE A WOMAN! You don't fight. You ain't mean and brutal like men, you don't kill people. How can you be respected for being a woman if you act like a man? I'm just saying this for women who feel like they should have the right to join the army, cause that just ain't right.

that really is a good question, you must be a gentleman for asking this question....I still get doors held open for me at public places, I have been helped when I need to carry something heavy, so I guess chivalry might still be there, but when and if I do have a son I am gonna teach him the old school way on how to be a gentleman and that is to NEVER hit a girl lol.....

Men, for the most part, stopped being chivalrous when women showed they are just as superficial as men, and they'd rather date a bad boy who calls them "ho"
