Girls: Remember "Fashion Plates"? It was an art toy that had different stencils for pants, skirts, shirts, ect. And you would 'create' an outfit by coloring over the stencils with pencil? I loved playing with that!!

Guys: Thunder, thunder, thunder,Thundercats! My brother had the whole lair, kit and kat, snowmeow, lionel, all of them!
What was your favorite 80's toy?

emt_me: I used to LOVE rubiks cubes! I remeber getting so close, but there was always like 3 or 4 cubes that I couldn't match up. I used to try to peel off the stickers and match it up...it never worked though, they'd always rip! : )

Y'know, I would have sworn that fashion Plates were actually early 90s toys (I think I remember seeing the commercials around second grade, back in the 90s), but I could be wrong. Anyway, I had 'Fashion Plates', too, and 'Fashion Faces'. My favorite toys in the 80s were Barbies and My Little Ponies, though. Moondreamers, too...

I absolutely loved fashion plates... especially coloring them afterwards. But my favorite toys from the 80s were definitely the Star Wars toys. My sis, cousin and I could entertain ourselves for hours in that particular land of make-believe. My sis and I also had a huge set of small dolls (something like 50 of them between the two of us), we used to make costumes for them and re-enact our favorite movies... which explains why I can still recite the entire film "Flash Gordon", lol.

OMG I Loved Fashion plates I sill have it in my attic altough because the creativity was so vast and you were only given so many combinations that the wardrobe got so old so fast? I think so after a while it seems that the ideas from the plates got stale. Still what a great product...

I had Fashion Plates! Do you remember Glamour Gals?? Those teeny dolls that should have been dating GI Joe but you could only change some of their clothes?

I also had Spirograph, Merlin, Strawberry Shortcakes, and the Lego castle.
