i'm surely going to trust Cillian Murphy. Underrated: Ben Foster Giovanni Ribisi Sam Rockwell Eric Bana Tim Roth Emily Mortimer Rhys Ifans Gael Garcia Bernal Baz Luhrmann (director) and that i don't comprehend if i'm able to truly call Helena Bonham Carter underrated. particularly some human beings watch her greater known movies, and their are too lots of her not-so-known movies that i've got not considered yet. overvalued: Tom Cruise Vince Vaughn Paul Walker Angelina Jolie Jennifer Aniston Orlando Bloom Will Smith Stephen King The 1st Earl Baldwin of Bewdley Brothers

Stephen Malkmus (Pavement, now solo) brilliant lyricist and his bands had amazing songs to support them. I guess to bring it a little more into the mainstream Elliott Smith. That guy just wrote great songs, way better ones than Miss Misery. It all worked out ok, because he didn't want it, but definately underrated.

Danny Elfman. Most people know him as the lead singer of 80's pop/punk band Oingo Boingo. But in addition to the radio hits Dead Man's Party and Weird Science, Elfman and Boingo put out a great collection of albums ranging with songs that ranged from absurd like Whole Day Off - http://music.yahoo.com/track/734757 to mainstream pop singles like Try To Believe - http://music.yahoo.com/track/734728

In addition to fronting a band that played sold out shows for over 20 years, Elfman is also one of the most accomplished composers of our time with over 60 film scores to his credit as well as some of the most popular shows on TV (The Simpsons). He's also had three Oscar nominations and scores of other awards http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000384/awards

Oingo Boingo was never very popular with the mass audience, but that's exactly why I suggest that Elfman is the most under-rated musician.

I believe Jim Croce (died in a 1970's plane crash) is probably the most underrated musician of all time. You should check out some of his works like "lover's cross", "workin' at the carwash blues", and "which way are you going."

Poets of The Fall (I think they are as good or better than the old U2 stuff) and Devics (best lyrics and cool jazz rock).
