Unsustainable development. Without a 'big picture' plan we will fail as humans. There is a carrying capacity to the planet and both thoughtless and uneven consumption of resources puts a strain on it.
Unsustainable development is caused by lack of dialog between groups. Sometimes it is caused by ideology differences or religion, sometimes it is apathy. Either way, the eventual consequence is mass starvation, spreading of disease and an all around bad situation. Lots of people care. We ALL just need to look at the 'big picture' more often and find some way to make it work.

Without a doubt "OURSELVES". We (humans-earthlings) have been at the very verge of exterminating life in the planet in several occasions and will not stop until we very well do so. Question is: Are we capable? Definitely Yes! Is there enough hate to push the wrong button? Definitely Yes! Will someone sometime push it? I don't know. Maybe.
