ok i work at a mcdonalds and trust me i was like u i said i would never work there and it is disgusting but believe me someother places are wose like taco bell....u might never eat there again if u knew about the food but generally at mcdonalds yuo start at minimum wage which where i live is $6.50 an hour and it takes a lot to get a raise anywhere so most people start and finish at minimum wage.

I work for a corporate owned store - NOT a franchisee. I make $8.25 an hour, which is a whole dollar more than minimum wage where I live in Indiana. We get paid weekly and every 6 months earn a .50 raise as well and get pretty good benefits.
One free meal before or after a shift and a 50% discount on a purchase up to $15 when not working.
the job is not to bad either. it's all fairly simple and not dirty like I've heard. Maybe our store is just good at it but basically machines make everything for you and to take an order you press the picture. it is extremely self explanatory. and all my managers and co workers are nice. it's usually just customers who are mean.

Probably the same as sweatshop workers: another day, another dollar. Well, not literally, but i'm sure not enough for the 5 kids and that the people who work at Mcdonalds usually have. OKAY i'm not being serious, i know that sounded really bad. BUT it was funny hehe. I'm sure the people who work at mcdonalds get about 10 bucks an hour. and i am sure they are good people, too, who dont have 5 kids USUALLY

Gee, tell us how you really think.
Why wouldn't you work there? Too stuck up? It is a job. Lots of famous people once worked for them. (No, I never did.)
You know, if you want information how about calling up the local McDonalds and make an APPOINTMENT to talk to a manager. Explain what you want (instead of asking here and getting information that is NOT reliable) and get what you need. This is the epitome of laziness.

A company can only do this to true managerial personnel. Lots of companies give the title of "manager" to an employee and none of the responsibility, thereby not making him/her a true manager. In this event, the company owes overtime. My suggestion is if these employees are not managers, they should go, as a group the the Dept. of Labor Wage & Hour Division.
