I've asked at multiple stores, but everyone seems to have a different opinion. Some say they carry diseases, others say they're benificial. What do you guys think? Oh, and fyi, my pond is about 400 gallons in case that will effect the answer.

There shouldn't be a huge problem if the pond is big enough. The minor thing that would happen would be that the turtle trying to bite the koi. But that is rare since kois are too fast to evade. I had comets with turtles in a big pond and the only ones the turtles can get are basically the already dead goldfishes.

Some turtles eat Koi(well, they eat anything they can catch) other turtles are completely benign. With large Koi and a small turtle or two,it should be OK. Some turtles carry Salmonella,it doesn't affect fish, just people.

Uh... O.o

Depends,do you want the koi to be turtle food?

It's VERY relative to size. Most likely, though, you won't have any koi left once those turtles get big enough... or those koi will thrash and fight back and kill your turtles. Not a particularly good mix, unfortunately. =)

As long as your fish are bigger than the turtles, you'll be fine, otherwise the turtles will eat your koi.
