Yeah, they should call them builts, and why do they call boxing rings 'boxing rings' - they should call them boxing squares, or boxing boxes....

Well I would think it is called a building because built just sounds weird. And a lot of bulding are under construction...so they're still building...or maybe because it is the result of someone's building it






why are apartments are called apartments when they arent apart they are stuck together lol

The English language is very complex, and sometimes just downright unnecessary. Why doesn't LAUGHTER rhyme with DAUGHTER? One of the many wonders of our language. I am quite fond, however, of the sentence: "They are building a building."
