I actually remember my grandmom trying to talk to my about how I shouldn't shave down there (which was painfully awkward)... she told me an old wives tale about how it allows infection to breed and can enter you and harm the baby. Then again there are plenty of people who will tell you removing the hair takes away the shield which keeps "dangers" out Personally, i think... nothing is getting in there to harm the baby regardless since there is such a strong layer to protect the baby from the inside. So, even though I can't really see that I did a great job (haha)... I continue shaving and I don't see any harm in you doing the same!

Yes you can but I can't figure out why any woman wants to go thru the trouble. Nature put hair there for a reason. If you think it is for sanitary reasons a good shower with soap and water will take care of that.
At one time they use to shave you before delivery but then they stopped and used green soap to clean the area. Maybe some still do the old fashion thing of shaving.

Yeah... why would you not be able to? It doesn't affect the baby. I did with both of my pregnancies. The only time they don't like you to do it is just before you deliver. They frown upon it because it can cause infection if you use a "dirty" razor. I had c-sections and shaved myself before my second one and they got mad at me for doing it! So just be careful.

While in the shower, use a brand new razor and shave. Then when you're done and dried off, apply a thin layer of GEL, UNSCENTED deoderant. (I use Mitchum. it comes in a clear tube with a green label) You won't get bumps if you do this!

You can as I did with my first pregnancy. Some hospitals still do that for you when you arrive in labor. But many studies have been done to show that having hair (pubic) helps prevent infection causing germs and bacteria from getting into your vagina, giving you an extra layer of protection... I am planning to try to conceive soon and I do not plan to shave or wax my pubic hairs this time...I do still shave the Bikini area though (just the sides)!!!

Hope this helps!!! Good luck!

Well the down side is it is itchy when it starts growing back and just as a precaution, don't shave going from down there to your stomach (razor burn oww!) always shave down. It just feels better w/o a bunch of pubes in the way lol. Sorry if I was too blunt...

What??? I imagine since this is in pregnancy, you are asking because your belly is so big you cant see what you are doing??? I gave up after a while. Get a mirror and sit on the edge of the bathtub or in it and use it to see what you are doing. Oh and when you are pushing and they ask if you want the mirror to see that babies head and they say "can you see his hair on his head" You shouldn't reply with "Is that his head or should I have shaved in the past 2 months???"

ADDED: I just read your other questions and answers....Are you 10 years old because you sure act like it....I wouldn't believe your stupid answers. You ask if it hurts to have a baby but then you told someone that they cut your vagina.....what is wrong with you....get a life

Well you can but it will give bumps and might make you itch. If you want to shave down there you either use trimming shavers and you can wax your bikini area but i wouldn't use a regular shaver. Go to walmart they usually sell women trimming shavers that does that kind of specail needs

Of course you can thats why they make bikini wax, special razors and shaving creams so you dont get razor bumps, if you're pregnant its not as easy but still possible:)

Assuming your pregnant. if you can reach down there then sure. If you can't reach and still want to be shaved then ask your hubby.
