Of course! Here is the answer I just gave to another question that was about this same issue!
Liberals, and Conservatives seem to have different understandings on what "support the troops" actually means!
Conservatives seem to think that support the troops means support the war, which is...in my opinion... exactly the same thing as support Bush.
As a Liberal, I feel that support the troops means bring them home. They should not have to give their lives and risk their lives over this ridiculous, illegal, immoral farce of a police action that is masquerading as a war! *sm*

You would think.
I believe the scare being put out this time by Bush is that if the dems don't give him what he wants, he will leave the troops in Iraq with no pay, no replacements, and no equipment. That's what it sounds like. So Bush is putting this circus on by using the troops as "hostages".

It depends on what you mean by 'support.' If you mean help someone to succeed at something he's committed to doing, obviously not. If you mean try to assure someone's safety in spite of himself, maybe. If you mean support in the same sense that participating in an intervention for an alchoholic would be supporting him, then yes, certainly.

I agree with just_hanging. Bush is the terrorist. He is the biggest threat to the safety and morale of our troops.

That would suck for them to make them unsure if they're coming home safely.
