In ignorant parents. They pass along the teachings of their ignorant parents, essentially abusing a child with hate filled putrid vile thoughts, and the deadly cycle continues. Education is a way to start, but how do you make someone see who is afraid of the light?

PS- Like your new avatar.. Haven't seen it before.. :-)

That's actually a difficult question to answer.. because the root of racism.. as in the past.. The roots were sewn many years ago.. and we now deal with all the "weeds" that have been born of those roots. I wish it were as simple as being able to find a specific place that racism started and have stopped it...

I think that the way to do it now.. is go to our 'new roots'.. Our children. We need to bring our children up with the knowledge that racism is wrong. If every new child was brought up that way, eventually the 'weeds' of racism would be killed off. The more and more children that see that racism is wrong (and stupid).. the more chance we have to have a much better world.

Also, finding some way to teach the current racists.. the 'right' ways of things.. would help.. but I don't know exactly where to start with that.
