I have a tablecloth that has been stamped with a transfer but has not been started to work. I want to remove the present transfer and use a new one. I have washed it but the ink still stays. Help.

If the tablecloth is white just but a little Clorox bleach in some water and let your tablecloth soak for a few minutes and the transfer should be gone..... rince well with fresh clean water. good luck.....

Some transfer inks are forever.

The three solutions I've used in the past are:

1) be darn sure my embroidery covers completely

2) bleach and then work on the *other* side of the material

3) re-cut and refinish, discarding the pre-stamped areas

honestly, it is supposed to fade with time, but for now all the first washing did was remove the sizing from the new fabric. Try Spray and Wash, let it set for a awhile, don't rub or it may just smear, if it doesn't come out, soak in alcohol then wash.
good luck.

If the table cover was purchased with the design on it, I'm afraid it is permanent. You could try Rit color remover, but I can almost bet that won't remove the design. Sorry but you are stuck with the design that is on there now.
