You won't save any money by buying your tickets in advance, however, I would still look into it if I were you. Even though you don't save money on the shorter passes, you can still save time over waiting in line, that way you can spend more of your day in the parks and having fun.

Here are the costs (including all taxes):

Adult:
1 day base pass: $71.36
2 day base pass: $140.58
Hopper add-on: $47.93
Water-park add-on: $53.26

Children 9 and under:
1 day base pass: $59.64
2 day base pass: $117.15
Hopper add-on: $47.93
Water-park add-on: $53.26

Children 2 and under:
Free

As you can see it only saves you a little money by buying a 2 day pass, per day, over a single day pass for each park. It isn't much but you have everything together and again it will save you a little bit of time. You save more money by buying the longer and the cost per day averages way down. You can also add on hopping, which would allow you to go to more than one park each day, but for a shorter pass it is kind of expensive, the cost is the same no matter how long your pass is. I personally don't think 2 days is enough time to hop, especially if you want to see a lot in each park. You can also do the waterpark add on, this is a good deal if you want to go to the water parks, Downtown Disney, etc.

You can also check prices at Disney's website.

Hope this helps!

A tip which is great to live by is that if you plan to visit for less than 3 days (as you say you are) it is actually cheaper to buy your tickets at the gate than online. At Disney's website, if you purchase a 1 or 2 day ticket, you are charged a processing fee. If you order a 3 day or longer ticket, that processing fee is waived. So yes, wait and purchase your park tickets at the gate when you arrive each morning. Expect to pay about $132 for a 2 day base ticket. If you wish to upgrade to a park hopper, expect to pay about $177.
EPCOT and DAK are highly recommended for adults, so have a fabulous time!

I suggest Magic Kingdom and EPCOT because they both are more fun than the others, even though all of them are great. Look up "gate prices for Disney world tickets" and you should be able to find something. I think it would be about $112 for two days plus tax but i am not sure. I always order mine with a package and parkhopper.

it all depends on what type of tourist you are. Animal kingdom was okay, but it has a lot of empty spaces that should be filled with animals and is dissapointing. per gate is like 60 dollars or so. my top favorite parks in O town are wet and wild, IOA (Universal studios Islands Of Adventure), Epcot is good too. If you want to see animals, take a trip to Busch Gardens or Sea World instead.

Go to see Animal Kingdom Hotel, maybe dine at Jiko. There are animals at the Hotel's preserve that you can see for free!

It costs the equivalent of £40 each for entry to these theme parks.
Epcot and Animal Kingdom are both good - Epcot involves alot of walking so be prepared! Also, there are fewer rides at Epcot so if your'e taking kids we aware of this.
I think MGM Studios is one of the best Disney parks, and has rides and attractions for all ages.
Have fun, im sure you will love it.

If your only going to visit 2 parks I strongly recommend you visit Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. For current ticket prices and options here is a link to the official website:

The price depends on the number of days you are staying go to www.Disney.com and click on travel and follow the links to get the current ticket prices. If you plan on arriving a day or so before you go the the parks you can visit one of the discount ticket centers (There are a lot of them on Kirkman Road in Orlando) and you can get free or really cheap tickets by touring condos or timeshare properties.
