Winter is from May to November, and during this time, in many locations, it rains constantly. Summer is from December to May and is not as wet. The northeast slopes of the Central Cordillera mountains receive the most rain. Humidity is higher on the Caribbean side than on the Pacific side. Average annual temps on the coastal lowlands are around 81 degrees, 70 in the main populated areas of the Central Cordilera, and below 40 on the summits of the highest mountains.
Costa Rica is one of the most stable countries in Latin America.
Tamarindo, on the North Pacific coast, is famous for it's beaches
and a popular destination for tourists.
Jaco is a surfing paradise and superb dining spot.
Looks like a beautiful place. Have fun! ☺

omg you must go to costa rica!! i went there last summer and had the best time ever. It is absolutely beautiful there. it definitely isnt a luxury vacation. its more of a place where you do alot of hands on activities in nature. i defnitely recommend zip lining through the rain forest, white water rafting, visting Arenal(volcano) taking a volcanic mud bath and bathing in a natural hot spring. The people of costa rica are probably the nicest i have ever met. Costa rica is definietly an experience that you shouldnt skip out. I stayed in Guanacaste. My hotel was right next the area where they filmed Jurassic park. if you want more of a metropolitan stay then you should stay in the city like san jose. Youll get luxury hotels there but it doesnt capture the true essence and culture of costa rica.

Costa Rica is amazing and very safe and friendly. just make sure you go during the dry season - the rainy season will not make for a good holiday.

Costa Rica is great... there's a lot of activities you can do here. i use to live in Canada and about 10 years ago i came down here. 1 awesome place that you can enjoy is montezuma. there is a hotel called sano banano or Ylang Ylang resort that is right in front of the beach. the town is not big but it have 2 rivers with waterfalls. one of them you can jump in it and swim. you can do the canopy there, horseback riding, fishing and lots of stuff. is not expensive and is a paradise...

Hi, Costa Rica itself is a small town, no big buildings, no Uptown HIP HOP, none of that, if you want to travel to Costa Rica is to enjoy the nature, you HAVE TO go to the interior of the country and do Mountains, river rafting, natural living..If going to CR for partying or to see a big city then it is not for you, its a NATURES trip

the rainy season is basically June and July (or sometimes a little before or after), which they call winter (it isn't really).
I was there in December, which was marvelous.
The Pacific coast is less humid than the Atlatic side, but the rain forests just over the mountains onto the Atlantic side are worth a visit. The central mountains are gorgeous, too.

I know two different people that had gone there for vacation and both came back earlier than planned because they said it was horrible there. Not sure what kind of scene it is but both seemed to think the same way
