It's the driver. The US driver makes these keys the opposite of the UK driver. Check the keyboard driver. you should find it by right clicking Mycomputer - properties - devices - look for keyboard and uninstall then reinstall by rebooting the PC. If that doesn't work call Microsoft - the will give you free technical support - if you mention the EU commissioner who is fining them $$$ millions a day! LOL It worked for me! Incidentally, US in the UK stands for Un-Servicable! LOL

Because the US and UK keyboard layouts are slightly different. You need to go to regional and language settings in control panel and change the layout to match the keyboard you have US @ is on 2 UK " is on 2

This is the language setting sin control panel - remove US keyboard and reboot

Control panel ,Regions and language change to english uk,That will put them back where they should be.
