I bought an item on Ebay from Canada. In his description he says if your going to use a money order from outside the country. To make sure its the pink kind...I went ahead and bought a Western Union money order and they said that this was the only kind they had...It just yellow and black like all other money orders I've purchased. Should I take this one back and try buying "the pink kind" somewhere else?

...I choose to pay for the item using a money order and can't pay for it any other way.

The type of money order he wants you get at the Post Office. It is a international money order.

Never use Western Union money orders or any other type.

I stopped accepting money orders altogether through ebay.

I now only accept paypal.

The best and safest way to do business on ebay is to use PayPal. If the seller has good high feedback then I'd say it's ok to send a money order. If the person is new to ebay, i'd be very wary of sending a money order, unless we are talking about a small amount of money that you wouldn't be upset if you never got the item.

There are mostly good honest people on ebay, but there are some who are out to steal your money.

I agree with the first answer...never use Western Union on Ebay. That's usually a code word for scam artist....usually the seller wants you to wire money and that's the last you'll ever hear from the seller. But, I know you're the buyer and not looking to scam anyone. Well, you have to abide by the seller's terms of payments so if they say they require a pink kind...you'll need to contact the seller and ask him what that means or where you'd get one at. I don't know of a pink kind, but the seller might.

Never pay for anything from Ebay with Western Union. I bought a laptop and transferred money with Western Union and the guy made off with the cash. I'm not the only one that's had this probem, check Google.

He meant as US Post Office international money order. SInce you've already bought it, ask the seller if he would still take it. If not, just cash it and take the money and buy one at the US Post Office.

As a US seller, I only take Canadian Postal Money Orders from buyers because I can cash them at our post offices with no problem. That might be why he only takes the one type.
