Does one actually drink tea or does one sip it Miss Banshee?

I reckon cup is the best form of vessel to drink tea with as sooooo many people make undrinkable tea and the cup is the least painful! Obviously if you make a lovely cuppa I'll be coming back for more. I'm a harsh judge though as I was 'Mr Teaman' 2002!

Yes I've still got the cup - or did I win a mug!!!!!!!!!!!

Most people don't seem to understand here---

Drinking from a cup does not mean you won't drink much tea. YOU BREW THE TEA IN A TEAPOT. Then you por and re-pour into your cup, sillies! Delicate tea (in traditions like China, Japan, etc.) which is enjoyed for its pure flavor and not made into a sludge of suger and milk, is to be drunk from a cup.

Why? For one, because the smaller amount in a cup is fresher, in a way. Each time you refill you get a fresh amount from the teapot or whatever. This is opposed to a big mug, which drowns you and gets stale.

Even when I buy tea in a paper cup from a coffee shop, I always buy the small size. Sometimes the teeny-bobby behind the counter says "Large cup is the same price--why don't you get that?" I don't get it because I would rather enjoy the smaller, rather than the big, gross amount which is contrary to the appreciation of tea.

Usually a mug. If I'm being fancy then I use a tea cup.

A Royal Doulton cup. Only Philistines drink out of a mug.

A white cup, and only earl grey or lapsang sushong or green tea and jasmine. I drink my coffee from a mug.

I prefer a cup. A mug is just too much at once!
