Agree with Windowlicker. You won't fit it all in, or you will just fit in what everything looks like in between but not what is actually there. Come on, it's like doing NYC, DC, Savannah GA, Niagra Falls and Toronto in 10 days. Sounds like a whirlwind business trip just going from meeting to meeting. Terrible.
So if you are young and energetic, and you seem to be, surely you will be back to Europe again sometime. Try to slim your list down which cities you want to see this time around, and then save the others for next time. For example:
Possible to do in 10 days:
- Dublin (2 days), London (5 days), Amsterdam (3 days) -- fly in between, try Ryanair which has an interesting special now: one Europenny for flights between Dublin and London. Airport tax, obviously, is not included in that one. Easyjet flies London-Amsterdam.
- London (5 days), Paris (5 days) -- here the train is best in terms of fastest travel from city centre to city centre (three hours, which is at least how long it takes to get from London City to seated inside the airplane at London Stanstead, Gatwick or Heathrow). The train costs 94 Euro economy class.
- Rome (5 days), Paris (5 days) -- low cost airline Easyjet flies between the two every morning and evening for about 50 Euros (one way).
Again, while it is physically possible to travel to all of the cities you listed and maybe even fit in half-day bus tours to see the outsides of most the major sites, that's about all you would manage to fit in. The rest of the time would be travel to and from airports, checking in and checking out (if you will have hotel arrangements already made in advance), taxi to taxi ... ugh, maybe because I'm a former travelling businesswoman in Europe it sounds so ... mundane. As Windowlicker says, the Travel Channel is far better.
Hope you take our advice and have fun!

You should probably go from London to Dublin to Paris then to Rome, then to Amsterdam spend 1 1/2 days at each place and take plane or train rides

To avoid spending most of your time in train stations and airports, maybe you should limit your itinerary and focus on just two places. You'll enjoy them more. Otherwise, you might as well watch the Travel Channel.

you cannot see it ALL in 10 days. Even cutting out Rome (the farthest from the others), you are still short-changing yourself.
