DON'T WATCH THE CLOCK!
Like they say a watched pot never boils, well a watched clock never advances!
Just try to stay busy and productive, and before you know it everyone else will be getting up to leave, and you can join them.

This question fascinated me. :) I feel the same way. I have an hour and 10 minutes left, and it feels like forever. I believe we get anxious for that time to come, so our body continuously thinks about that and feels excited, making it harder for you to concentrate on your workload, which would help pass time a lot faster! If we were really busy, we would not be asking/answering questions on yahoo! Hope you have a good rest of the day!

for the same reason a line in a grocery stor moves steadily until you are next....because you are thinking about it too much.
what i try to do is throughout the day out little bits of work (a little MORE than an hours worth) to the side. when i have about an hour left, i start on what i had put aside. that way you are keeping yourself busy and not thinking about the time :)

If you are lucky, you don't sit where there's a clock staring at you! I found that if I didn't keep looking at a clock, the last hour at work wouldn't be so painfully slow.
Don't wear your watch, either...put it in a drawer!
