At chain craft store Michaels & JoAnne, they have an item called "Recycled Fish Net" which is basically what it says... used once to catch fish at sea & now they cut it into a 4 foot x 4 foot net stored in a bag.

I think it would be cool to build some sort of moss wall that included this stuff in its construction.

It doesn't say if the rope is made of cotton / hemp / some other organic material that can decay. There's no information about what its been made out of or treated with.

Personally I wouldn't trust it. Unless you can tell it's an inorganic fiber it will most likely rot given time under water. Of course, if they are cheap you can always test one by placing it a container of water for a few weeks and see what happens.

This is safe for crafting but I would not put it in a tank or terrarium since you dont know anything about it other than its recycled fish net.. Good Luck!

since your in the craft store looking , find the crafting grid used for needle point, its plastic, and mosses , and other plants can be tied to it , to create the wall effect your looking for , and is much easier to work with. just use fishing line to tie mosses or plants to the grid , and poof instant moss wall...
