It is NOT normal or healthy for a guy to bleed when giving or getting anal. He should see a doctor asap.

Don't panic about all the feedback, well intentioned but basically wrong. It is quite common to bleed a little (not a lot) after anal and the first time you have a bowel movement after sex. Only if it continues after that, especially if ot gets worse, then you go see a doctor.
However, it also means you are doing something not right. Probably more than one thing: not enough lube, you do not know how to relax, and your partner does not know how to wait for you to relax (as opposed to pumping like a porn movie actor).

Here are two simple answers:
1. Is "giving anal" normal?
2. Is bleeding normal?
NO, it's not normal. It's perverted and abnormal.

Never had personal experience, but it doesn't sound normal at all and it is certainly not natural. It's either the inserted object is too big or the anal is too small. Try lubricant, i.e. KY. But use a condom in any case.
