Penis Infection Question(Odour)?

Question

Ok, first off, I have never had sex. Secondly, I have noticed that the tip of my penis has been smelling(like rotten fish or something). Um, it does not burn or itch, and my penis is not red. SOMETIMES a LITTLE bit of yellow/clear, smelling mucus comes out(THIS IS SOMETIMES). This has been going on for a month or so. ALSO I am not circumcised. Please, I need all the help I can get.

This might be a result of not having good hygiene. Once a day when you take a shower/bath, pull back the foreskin so the glans (penis head) is completely exposed; then wash the area with a mild soap and water like any other part of the body. Afterwards, dry the area gently with a towel if you want. This should get rid of/reduce the smell. Also if you pull back your foreskin when you pee, and wipe away the excess pee on a piece of toilet paper/the back of your hand (you're going to wash your hands anyway) before returning your foreskin back over the glans, that will help to further reduce the smell.

If after 3 days or so of doing the above and nothing really improves, then you might have a UTI (urinary tract infection). Drink lots of water and go to the doctor's for antibiotics. It shouldn't be anything major if it's gone on for so long, but you do want it taken care of soon; if it's an infection, antibiotics will solve it really fast. See the link for more info.

It sounds like it's coming from the urethra, so I'm guessing it's a urinary tract infection, not the foreskin. Either way, slide back the foreskin and wash the head well and dry it when done. It should only take a few seconds when you shower.

Also, to clear up UTIs, depending on how bad they are, drinking a lot of water (and cranberry juice if you have any) can help.

You may have a kidney or uninary tract infection. If you have back pain too, that in a sign of a kidney infection. You need ot see your doctor fast or the infection can spread to the testes and can make you sterile.

You obviously have an infection, probably because of built up smegma under the tissue of your foreskin. It may have gotten in your urethra and moved all the way to your penis and bladder too. Go to the doctor ASAP. And, if you don't know how to take care of yourself, get circumcised soon.
