Now she what? If your friends don't knoe who you are then you should find real friends who pay attention to you!!! Even if they do and they lied on purpose either for your benefit or theirs, they are not really good friends!!! Seriously, people should never do that. You should always be whoever you are not matter what people think. It's better to be upfront now than have a tottally embarrassing moment later!!! Go to this person and explain that for whatever reason they mislead her about you. Hopefully she will understand and if she doesn't then you dont need her anyway!!

Reconsider your choice of friends. Friends don't gossip, especially in the negative.
