Who says other countries hate the US. Other countries media and governments or the people that live in other countries.
If other people in other countries think the US is so bad,why do they still immigrate to America?

America has a long standing history of pillaging countries and raping their natural resources, raising AMERICA'S sense of democracy, installing leaders that best serve America's interests at the time, then deposing those same leaders at a later date when they are no longer serving American purposes, fighting covert wars in their regions, blundering foreign policies, heinous elected officials, etc, ad naseum.

America is now the modern day Rome, but better. No other country in the world can decimate another country as fast and thoroughly as America can.

Maybe because we also aid in oppressing people when it serves our own interests, and because we are so strong, there's nothing anyone can really do about it.

Let's not be stupid in our swallowing of overwrought rhetoric and spin, please. We're not evil, but we're certainly not completely benevolent and pure, either.

Edit: You're a joke. First you go on about how we free the oppressed and opposed fascism, then you go on about how we should be rounded up and put into camps, just like the Nazi's, for exercising our freedoms.

I guess you're a real authority on what qualifies as freedom and oppression.

You know, your question is based on an illusion. And interfering in other people's affairs is not giving them freedom. Do you have a real example of a people America freed from oppression? And if America was such a benevolent strong brother, why do you have the human catastrophe unfolding in Darfur Sudan?

because of misinformed attitudes like yours...

Strongest nation?? What makes a nation strong?? If its military might, then ok, we are the strongest.. But, putting that military to use means someone out there hating us...

And, if by strongest nation you mean, the nation which tends to its citizenry to the highest regard, that certainly isn't us... In fact, the only people more neglected by the US than its own citizens are the poor schmucks who find themselves on the receiveing end of our military power.

And, we don't free oppressed people... we create oppression through military and economic strong-arming...

And, as bad and invasive as our foriegn policy has been, its jackasses like yourself that compound the problem by taking pride in it rather than looking at the situation objectively...

Very well said JJ.

Read "Confessions of an Economic Hitman" by John Perkins.

That will give you an idea of what we have done to other countries in the name of "freeing the oppressed"
