Yep. When I made the cheer-leading squad in the 8th grade a boy came up to me and said "You made the cheer-leading squad?!? How did that happen - you're ugly!!"
And it hurt like hell actually. Kids are mean. of course, I'm way out of high school now and did the complete "ugly duckling story" so I'm over it now because I know I'm beautiful on the outside (God decided to have mercy on me once I got through my awkward stages) and inside.

of course i cared. but ive been called hot to. if you were called that it was prob nothing just some @sshole wanting to make themself look better by ragging you. ignore it everybody is pretty in some way.... oh yeah and the girl that called me ugly was just some jealous biatch and she ended up getting busted across the face with a desk... whoops... :)
she did more than call me ugly though just so you know

Yes, i pretend not to let it bother me but it did. People that call other people ugly usually have some insecurity about their own looks.

I cared when I was a kid. Now I know that anyone who says that is merely covering up for their own deficiencies in character or appearance, so if anyone were to call me that now, I would find it very funny. Ha ha ha. I wonder what THEY are hiding!? :-)

yes and it did bother me til i stopped and thought about it and realized no i'm not ugly but some people sure are ugly at heart.
