too tacky, not professional at all. There are better ways to do this for free..
I would recommend using NVU editor (www.nvu.com), it's free and wont tie you down to one method of editing. NVU pages can be transferrable to frontpage or dreamweaver html editor
SEE http://www.interkeys.com/htmleditor for more info on Premium HTML Editors (WYSIWYG)

For free hosting, try google pages pages.google.com or yahoo geocities ,
its sort of free hosting, but you are limited to a subdomain on googlepages & geo has ads on your website - otherwise I would use http://www.interkeys.com/tophosts to get one for a few bucks a month with 500 GIG bandwidth and the rich with features

its up to you how developed a site you want and if you want to use your own domain name

Unless endorsed and approved by MySpace, a profile used for commercial efforts is in violation of MySpace's terms and conditions (paragraph six, section 5):

"... Non-commercial Use by Members. The MySpace Services are for the personal use of Members only and may not be used in connection with any commercial endeavors except those that are specifically endorsed or approved by MySpace.com. Illegal and/or unauthorized use of the MySpace Services, including collecting usernames and/or email addresses of Members by electronic or other means for the purpose of sending unsolicited email or unauthorized framing of or linking to the MySpace Website is prohibited. Commercial advertisements, affiliate links, and other forms of solicitation may be removed from Member profiles without notice and may result in termination of Membership privileges. Appropriate legal action will be taken for any illegal or unauthorized use of the MySpace Services."

But there are still people who violate those terms and conditions. Some get away with it for awhile, others get banned. The choice and (risk) is up to you. Personally, I think it's a bit tacky.

Choosing to host a business site on MySpace probably depends on who you are trying to attract as your customers. I know my employer blocks that site and many others similar to it. If you are looking to attract students, remember that most schools block the site too. People are also less likely to take the site seriously but depending on your business, it could make sense hosting it there too. Without knowing more about your business though, I'd be inclined to host on a dedicated site for your company, or at least something from your ISP (i.e. http://www.verizon.com/~myName)

I think its incredibly unprofessional, but it depends on your business. If you target people between 13-23, then it might be worthwhile. But if you're targeting older people, or other businesses then your best bet is to go with a professionaly designed website.
