You'll get stuff about Imus and Rosie and the Dixie Chicks, but technically, censorship is a government function. As such, there has been no censorship.

What there has been is free market enterprise at its finest, with customers deciding that the appalling behavior by any of the above-mentioned folks merited boycotts, angry letters, and protests. Said methods led the owners of the businesses to rid themselves of poor-performing employees. Such is the way of life in a free country. Don Imus, Rosie O'Donnell, and the Dixie Chicks are still eminently free to express their thoughts publicly. They just don't have someone supplying them air time and paying them to do it.

I think that "censorship" should apply to the government forbidding certain things to be said; for instance, when declassifying a document, they may censor certain parts that they think are still too sensitive to release.
The media are privately owned and make their own decisions about what can be said, except that certain types of pornography are regulated and other kinds outlawed.
Besides this, there are certain vulgar words which the media voluntarily self-censor.
The media generally make other decisions based on ratings and also the opinions of those in charge.

Two words: DON IMUS. Perfect example of censorship and hypocrisy. He lost his job over a very crass comment he made about the Rutgers University women's basketball team (most of whom are African-American -- see where this is going?), but it was no worse than comments made by other shock-jocks like Howard Stern. What's worse is the fact that racially insensitive comments and racial slurs made by prominent minority group leaders like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are not met with anywhere NEAR the level of outrage that came out when Imus made his comments. So what we have here is a glaring double-standard and the suppression of free speech. Imus made a careless comment and got fired, but when Sharpton and Jackson rail against us "crackas" no one bats an eye...

The fact that it seems like NO ONE who actually watches the news know ANYTHING about the North American Union or have never heard about the SPP which is CREATING the NAU right under people's noses. If you don't know about them then you need to learn about what this government is doing right under your noses!

This site explains the NAU and the SPP and why it is so dangerous:

This site is actual legislation from Idaho banning this from happening:

This is a site which explains how Chertoff said in a memo that the DHS is UNDER the SPP which means that the DHS is UNDER what Mexico, the USA and Canada! If you go at the end of the article there are the actual documents from DHS which SAY this.

Almost everything on a satiric sense (from South Park to The Simpsons, Family Guy/whatever) has been cut, so there are "uncut" versions of everything. In any broadcasting station, there are censors. Not state censors, but inner-company censors. (Obviously, pressed by the government, the will to appear politically-correct, and the other media)

If some one is right wing they are going to plead media bias. If someone is left wing they are going to plead media bias. There is no such thing as NO censorship.
