Let's say you have this difficulty at a party. Excuse yourself and go to the bathroom. When you come back, begin talking with someone else.
If it is your boss, get a new job because you can forget about a raise.
If it is your spouse, think about getting a divorce or going for counseling.
If it is your mother-in-law or father-in-law, YIKES!

Well you're proubly dealing with a Taurus and let me tell you some can save a lot of your energy! You can't anything about it! I had a girl that was the most stubborn person in the world and I would sometimes argue until I was blue in the face! LOL! It's their character. Nothing I promise nothing will change it. Sometimes you'll have to agree to disagree. ( And sometimes that was even impossible)

Agree to disagree if it isn't something that matters anyway. If someone doesn't agree with you that is no reflection on you and it doesn't mean that you are wrong or not worthy and it definitely doesn't mean you are being rejected. It just means they think different than you.
If it is something that an agreement must be reached on, then throw out solutions and compromise until both parties can be happy. That may take some time, but it works.

Realize that you can't change person and accept them the way they are, or work together to come up with a solution that will work for the both of you. Both me and my husband are very stubborn.

Well, if you're talking about a marriage, good luck. You might be heading for divorce. Marriages work best when there's a hierarchy in place. Most men are happiest being the head of their household, and once women accept a submissive role, they find they are happier and better treated.

Possible solutions:
1. Compromise
2. One gives in for the sake of the relationship
3. Forget it
See which one fits you and do it! Or try all of them and go with the one that works!

Just accept they are different from you and don't try to change them because you will never be able to. Meet each other half way on what ever it is you are arguing about and stop trying to change each others minds.

Repeat after me: You cannot make anyone do anything he or she doesn't want to do.
The only option is to point the way and do the right thing. If what they are doing is affecting your life, then do something about it.
e.g If you SO is cheating on you, don't try to get him/her to stop cheating. You should act by leaving that person.

You can accept their position and come to terms with it; you can ignore it and keep doing your own thing; you can try and change the situation so that the person's actions or opinion don't matter to you anymore.
