how do you switch between the default music/movie players on your computer. For Windows XP?

For example: Quicktime is my default player right now, how do I switch to media player, etc.

You can make Windows Media Player the default player for a number of file types (formats). You must be logged on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group to change the file types that the Player will play by default.

On Windows Media Player -click the arrow below the Now Playing tab, click More Options, and then click the File Types tab.

Select the check boxes of the file types for which you want the Player to be the default player.

Clear the check boxes of the file types (formats) for which you do not want the Player to be the default player.

easy just go to a music or video file and right click go to propties and when that comes up at the top it will have a little icon and a button marked chance just click and pick the player to use
