If you want to use a broadband service that runs on the BT line yu need to pay line rental either to BT or your provider. If you are in an area with cable then the local cable company (probably virgin) may be able to give broadband without a phone line though you get a better deal with a phone line too.

Well you need to ring up BT for the correct information. Or, if you are not with BT then the provider of the phone line you are going to be using. If you are going to use the phone line for broadband I am sure you will have to pay line rental, but you still need to contact the land line provider.

broadband from bt ,sky etc all needs a bt line as they all use it only one not needing a phone line is virgin.
they have an offer for £10 a month for broadband and u dont need the TV or phone package to get check on www.virginmedia.com ,that's if cable is in your area ,if not you will need a bt line.

any broadband on phone lines requires line rental paid to bt and then subscription for broadband.
