He recently suggested that a Democratic win in 2008 would be equivalent to waving a white flag, and further stated that Republicans would be on the offensive. If this is true, then why did the Republican leadership for the ninth months prior to the attack, systematically ignore credible, specific warnings of an imminent attack?

The most notable is mr. bush going on a month-long vacation AFTER having read a memo "Bin Ladin Determined to Strike US" but this is far from the *only* serious, credible warning.

So do you think Rudy forgot all this, or do you think he hopes YOU have? Do you think he is using fear to manipulate your vote?

(For the record I am not a Democrat).

Rudy was part of 911 he knew what was going on here. He is a muderer like punk a** bush. This was planed for a long time. It is all staged. Thousands of people died cuz of them. It's not just bush jr. all them other bucket heads befor him. bush sr was the one that announced to everyone about the new world order that was comming in a speech he did on sept 11th 1991. Who remembers that? No one knew what he was talking about except the people in the room with him. Bush was brough in to let it happen cuz they knew he'd let it happen. Don't trust any of them.

Guiliani seems to forget about his miserable rein as mayor of NYC before 9/11. He did his job and saved his image, but he also made millions touting himself as America's mayor.
I am a New Yorker, and this mean jerk divided the city with his strong arm tactics. Do you want another dumb *** Bush in office? Rudy also got warning about the bad communication equipment being used by the FDNY and the bad blood between the Police & Fire Dept. and he ignored it.
The failure of the (2) departments to communicate and the crappy walkie talkies caused the deaths of all those city workers and some of those civilians. Rudy should take some responsibility.

This is the only card Republicans can play because it's the only one that they consistently poll high in. Despite how badly Bush does in the poll most people (I'm not one of them) still feel he did a good job during 9/11.
Republicans can't point to any other success because they have been dismal failures.
Rudy has the added plus of also being seen as heroic during this time.

So, I see this as more or a rallying cry than anything else. I hope that by now most people can see past all the crap the Republicans are trying to feed us.

For me the jury is still out as to whether I will vote for Rudy, but if ANYBODY in politics has a realistic view of 9/11, it would be him. So, no, I don't think he has forgotten anything...including the mistakes Bush made AND the mistakes Clinton made about the Muslim threat for at least 6 of the 8 years of his administration.

2004 the Republicans used the fear tactic to win in 2006 they tired the same thing it backfired. The claims of Rudy smack the fact only Republicans are true patriots and can govern. The last seven years has shown they can not govern.

George W. barely had time to take off his hat before the September 11 attacks happened! Don't you know anything about the history of those attacks? They started planning them back in the 90s when Bill Clinton was president! He broke the back of the military so bad that the terrorists thought they had it made ... and they were right! Democrats in power are rhymes with wussies!!

And, in summation, as my sixth grade science teacher used to say, "better to keep silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and prove it! Idiot.

i understand what you are saying, but the question is irrelevant. 911 would have happened no matter who was in office. Terrorists don't care whether we have a republican or democrat in power, they hate us all the same. The real question is, when we are attacked how is the president who is in power at the time going to react.

He probably also remembers the 8 years of Democratic leadership just prior to that, when the terrorists were coming and going freely.
