There is no pond...I put some bird seed on the ground..they are just sitting in the grass hanging out. Sometimes they walk down the sidewalk together. Should I put out a wading pool in the back patio for them?

because you put food out they will hang around and if you like their company then yes, by all means put in a wadding pool with a little walk-up ramp for them.(did you know ducks mate for life? you must have because you called them ''married''.)they will eventually build a nest and after the female lays eggs she won't leave the nest for anything except to'' relieve herself'' but she will only go no more then 2ft. away. the male is responsible to bring her food and water and he does too!

It's possible that a pond or lake is nearby. They are meeting in your back yard, because they could be married to other ducks and are having an affair where they won't be seen by their spouses.
Sure put a wading pool out to see if they use it as a hot tub.
I love ducks.

We used to have a couple ducks hanging out in our back yard. The park, where there was a lake, was about a mile away. Best we could figure out was they were in our back yard because they were married to other ducks and they were cheating on their spouses. It was lots of fun to watch them waddle around in the ritual mating dance -- until the lady duck' s husband showed up.

If they are bothering you, call animal control or the humane society they can give you some guidance as to what to do with the ducks.

yes get the wading pool or show them your bath tub,give them crushed corn although they love bread ,snails is their favorit food ,
but they will eat just about anything

They want you to stop saying they're married. They're ducks. Ducks don't get married, they mate. Anthropomorphism is bad.
