Global warming. But Al Gore still flies on his private jet... oh, right - he buys carbon offsets... ;-)

The sad part is that the development costs reported by big companies are outrageously inflated so that those companies can get away with begging the government for more money. If it really costs a billion dollars to develop a hybrid car then you wouldn't be able to go online and purchase conversion kits from guys who started companies in their garage for $10,000. I'm working on my own hybrid vehicle and should have it done by this time next year and so far my materials costs have been less than $10,000. If you add in my time at $50 an hour that would be another $50,000. By the time it's all said and done the total development cost including the $50 an hour rate for time will be less than $125,000.

What in the world are you talking about? Your questions are very inflammatory and immature. People in general, not just liberals, are concerned over many topics which have nothing to do with political affiliation. Some issues are just that, issues. Everyone's mindset is not all politically biased. Geeze.

I don't want to tell you what kind of car to drive, I only ask you to consider the fact that we could drastically reduce our dependence on foriegn oil if the average gas mileage of cars in america was increased.

Maybe it's for the same reason Gore is doing everything he can to stop Global Warming while flying around in one of his carbon belching jets. It's so typical of the lieberals.

I don't care what kind of car you drive. I care whether you pollute the air I'm trying to breathe. Jeez, get over yourself.

That's the car companies, not the liberals.

The voices telling you what to do are not liberals, that's a problem and you should probably see a doctor about it now.

Because libs always need something to complain about. They have to be always changing things. I understand about the global warming thing and I agree but they want control over everything no matter what it is. They fight to save animals in the wild and yet kill unborn children.

Why do you ask nothing but "why do liberals blah blah blah..." questions?? Seems like you're spending too much time thinking about what liberals do..maybe you're a closet liberal.

Since when do liberals do that?

Why does one/few have to translate into "all liberals"?

Do you generalize because you are an idiot or do you hope that other idiots fail to see your generalization?
