Is anyone here living in Croydon-UK? what are the best areas to live in Croydon, close to tube station?

We are looking to buy a 2 BR property in Croydon, close to the station as we work in Central London.

People living there, what are the best places in Croydon, close to parks, sake for kids etc. Please let us know, We want safe information from residents as I dont trust realtors.

Also, is it an upcoming areA?

No tube station near Croydon. Plenty of mainline train stations though. The main one is East Croydon.
Croydon is not an up and coming area. There are parts which are up and parts which are down and it is likely to stay that way. Shirley is one of the better areas.
And they are called Estate Agents in the UK not realtors.
