There sure is a lot of misinformation around. Magic has no colours, therefore one cannot be a "white" or "black" witch or wizard. Magic is neutral in essence. Only magic used solely for ill will or malevolence is dark and this branch of magic is the Dark Arts. The idea of white meaning purity and black meaning evil goes back to centuries old non-magical people's views. If you do not indulge in the Dark Arts then you are simply a witch or wizard.

A White Witch, such as me, is someone who practices White Magick. If you do not do any kind of White Magick, or Magick without intent to harm, then of course, you are not a White Witch ^_^
EVERYONE has the power to do Magick, for it is not about spells, potions, or any of that, but it is about energy, and energy purely. A manipulation of energies to bring about a significant change that we can recognise. If I take the heat and light energies of a candle, I can transmute it, using my own metaphysical ('psychic') energy as a catalyst, into a red emotion such as passion or anger. It is about utilising your inner energy and forcing a change upon other energies. Doing this, with a good intention, and no harm to any living creature, is White Magick.
If you can awaken your inner power and become connected, then you are a Witch. Whether you are a White Witch or not depends on how you use your powers! If you want any more help, let me know. My email is missytetra@yahoo.co.uk. In love and light, Tasha x

Magick is neither White nor Black. White is all colors. Black is an absence of color. All Magick is a melding of colors. A Witch is a worker in the Crafts....few could survive being a witch who does anything evil as every action has a reaction that the Witch must accept.

when you cast a spell and it works for you. Im a white witch. Or since others here dont agree on the colour thing i will say I choose to CALL myself a white-witch as i only practice white magic.
Just remember if you want to practice magic live upto the rules and your be fine:-
Remember the harm none rule.
Dont cast spells on other people.
Only cast spells in the mundane world.
Be careful what you wish for.
Keep yourself grounded.
Always help others who are interested to follow your magical path.

My dear child, Magic is used on Intent and not based on what "colour" witch you are. It all depends on what you're going to be using it for. If you plan on using your magic for a good cause, then the intent will be good. If you intend on using it for good and it ends on doing harm it'll backfire on you. You see the problem here.
Always very very careful when using Magic. Use it sparingly as possible and when faced with no other choice.
Blessings.

If you actually believe you're a witch, then it's simply a matter of whether you behave in an ethical, benign manner or in a hostile, selfish manner. The first would be considered 'white', the second 'black'.

So I guess you never heard of witches and warlocks being black is that correct? Because don't get it twisted........I know some Jamaicans that can put a spell or put some voodoo on you so awesome until you wouldn't know what hit you. Also Hispanics have a strong powerful source as well. White people are not the only people who are witches or warlocks! I kid you not!

there is no such thing,
magic is not white nor black, it is how you yield your energie.
Just be a good person, harm ye none, and do as ye will.
Live and let live, fairly take and fairly give.

There is not any such thing. If you call yourself a witch, you are evil. If you think you are doing things for good, then you aren't a witch.
