Tracy, I see only one other "man" on this subject so here goes.
A "true feminine man" would be in touch with that part of him but not really show it, as in not being gay! To look at me, with my long hair and rough exterior, you would think that I would not care for being thoughtful on such things. Yet, I am married to a USAF officer and I tend to be the one on the feminine side. (I consider my spouse a tomboy type) I am into interior decorating, watching HGTV, the Travel Channel, DIY, scrapbooking, do all the cooking, cleaning, clothes washing, shopping (well, not all) and so on. I am more of a "stay at home dad". I don't do sports; i.e. watching everyday on ESPN and such, who won what game, who won the Stanley Cup, Super Bowl and other trivial matters that do not make up who I am. If this makes me a wimp or pussy in other men's eye's then that is what they can think. I love candles, scented air freshners, going to the theatre, opera, having tea with my other Air Force spouse's, having "kid time" at McDonald's so the other ladies can vent to me on what they are having problems with. I have many friends who want to have my opinion and that I actually listen to them and not be like most men who just schluff it off as not that important. And shopping! I have my women friends ask me if I can go with them so that I may pick out outfits, shoes or jewelry for them. I guess because I am a decorative painter/picture framer/artist, that they see in me a side that most men do not have; compassion for their needs and not in a sexual context.
I am thankful I have this feminine side that I am able to share with so many. Yet, it does not make me too feminine or too rough as a man as to not have a happy medium. I have not come across that many men in my travels but they are out there. That is my opinion and hope it gets you and others thinking on what this side of a man can be all about.

Men have to be masculine, but it is always very important for many situations to be emotional. Girls like to be understood. If you are totally masculine then you will not be understanding if a girl is having a problem. Keep in mind though that you want to try to be yourself because you want the girl to like you for who you are and not who you are trying to be. Lots of girls like their men to be kind of feminine at times...but not totally.

Somewhere in the middle is perfect. I hate it when guys act all macho, Its a total turn off. I like a guy that I feel safe around but can still be cute and isnt afraid of what everyone else thinks.

An aspect of each. Most women like their men to have a tender side, but still be a man...you know?

It's better for a man to be a kind, considerate, respectful human being, however this is accomplished.
