I am 35W6D along withy my 4th baby. I don't remember losing my plug with the others so I am ignorant to this. About 4 days ago I went to the potty (with hubby talking to me). In my panties was a huge gob of clear/yellowish mucus. Hubby said it looked like 10 logies (sp?) that you would cough up. lol Sorry tmi! Would that be my plug? How long until labor do you ladies think? I know I am only 35 weeks but I have gestational diabetes and a history of preterm labor so I was curious. Thanks in advance for enlitening me! lol :-)

Yes, that is your mucus plug that you've lost. Your baby will come really soon. It took me about a week after I lost my mucus plug for my son to arrive.

The mucous plug usually contains some blood in it when it is expelled...not every women though notices there mucous plug and u may just be losing some of it *if thats the case, the mucous plug grows back until it is time to give birth* I am on my third pregnancy. with my second i noticed the same EXACT stuff every once in a while starting from about 16 weeks, different times it would be bigger then others but my doctor explained it was just extra mucous from my cervix that wouldnt cause contractions or dialtion *not mucous plug* and i had my baby at 41 weeks. with this pregnancy i have been experiencing the same thing again *im now 6 months* and every few days after waslking a lot or doing light cleaning i will notice some in my panties or when i wipe,,,i noticed it this morning as well *clearish yellowish jelly like glob*. sometimes it will be big too but i reassure u everything is fine and im almost certain its not your plug. If u need extra reassurance ask your doctor.. good luck!

USUALLY after the mucus plug comes out you have about two weeks before you start real labor. That is not always accurate. My mucus plug came out when I was only 15 wks and I haven't had a contraction yet. (I'm at 28 wks and I'm excited. Haven't made it this far since my son.) 37 wks is ok, your baby has a great chance not having many complications. Congrats!!

Yes it sounds like you lost your plug. Once losing your plug it can take a day to 2 weeks before delivery. It means that your cervix is starting to ripen and dilate but can still take a while before delivery. My first baby I lost my plug and had my baby 11 days later..My second baby I lost my plug and it took 3 days and I had my baby. It does look like a giant loogy or can just look like thick mucus so it does sound like you have lost it..Good Luck...Not much time left Congrats! BTW...I would talk to your doctor since you are at risk for preterm labor...You want that baby to wait a couple more weeks before arriving if you can.

The mucus plug looke a lot like snot. It can come out all at once, or little by little. Labor can be days or weeks away after you lose it. I lost mine starting at 28 weeks and by 36 weeks my doctor said it was gone. I had my daughter 2 weeks later.

Yes, definately your plug! I lost mine at 39 weeks and went into labor that same day, but you can still not go into labor for a few weeks. Everyone is different with labor, but I'd definately without a doubt say that was your plug!

Sounds like the plug. Time will only tell when you go into labor but you may want to call your OB and let them know they could probably do an exam and tell you if you are dialating.

Yeah sounds like it, typically there is a little dark brown blood tint that goes along with it....no saying until you go for a docs exam when labor could be...a friend of mine lost hers and was finally induced 5 days later...ask your doc if you are dilated and thinning on your next exam.

yes, it sounds like it was your plug. for me it was that very day with my first child for delivery, four days for my second, and three weeks for my third. it could be any day now but you could also be forced to suffer a few more weeks. with it being your 4th child your labor could be quick!
