Don't spend so much time listening to the warmongers.

Think about it; you are 18-25 years old, you are in a hot desert country and have been there for years....you are dressed in heavy, hot military clothing, backpack, weapons and ammunition. You are working 18-20 hours a day with no relief. You don't get Saturday or Sunday - or any other day off.

When you venture out to work everyday, you are surrounded by people who don't like you and don't want you in their country. They curse at you, throw stones; some of them plant bombs, fire mortars at you, hide and ambush you and your buddies. Some of your buddies have been killed, many other have been seriously wounded, crippled and maimed. You are always fearful you might die every minute of everyday and night of your life. There is never enough water, shade or decent food while you are out chasing god-knows-who for god-knows-what reason.

All you want to do is stay alive today, keep your buddies beside you alive today and GO HOME as soon as possible before you die.

You don't know what you are fighting "for", nor who the "enemy" is (is it that woman coming at you? the child? are they strapped with bombs?). You can't identify the enemy because whoever they are, they look just like everyone else, live in the same villages, in the same homes as everyone else.

You don't know what "winning" means because there is no defined "victory". All you know is everyday you go out and do the same thing with NO end in sight.

You hear things (the rumor mill is huge in the military). You know there is some sort of a "pi**ing contest between the "decider" and the Congress back home. The "decider" says you have to stay where you are and continue doing the same thing day after day after day with NO end in sight. The Congress wants the madness to end and start bringing you and your buddies back to the states. Meanwhile, all you can do is cross your fingers, hope you stay alive today and hope somebody somewhere ends the mess so you can go home.

Now, answer your own question.

You are so poorly misinformed!

How does it make our BRAVE troops feel when they hear about all the Conservatives who are extending their tours for a lost cause?

The Conservatives just refuse to believe that Iraq has turned into a civil war and nothing The USA does, will do anything except escalate it and because of the Conservative policy on Iraq, we will continue to lose even more of our BRAVE Troops!

I would think that instead of our troops thinking the Liberals are undermining their Great work, they are thinking...God at least some of our Government Officials are trying to get us out of this Hell Hole!

I am a Liberal and I served in the first Gulf war and I supported the troops then and I support them now!

It's funny how some of you Conservatives continue to believe that Bush and his policies on Iraq are for the best...yet it was because of many Conservatives who are sick of his policies helped to put the Liberals back in power back in November, 2006!

I hope that you and other Conservatives who believe in Bush's policies on Iraq keep thinking the way you do because it will only guarantee a Democratic President come 2008!

Now go ahead you Conservatives who are still living on Fantasy Island...Hit me with your Thumbs down!

The truth hurts doesn't it?

Well, according to Sgt. Smith, Army Reserve that was wounded in Iraq in 2006 by an IED, he is "damn glad" that someone is trying to do something to end this stupid war.

And maybe you need to realize that the MILITARY advised our "fearless leader" that going into Iraq was a bad idea, and would put us into a position not unlike Vietnam.

But you don't want to hear that stuff, for it goes against what you think. You prove to everyone that going into Iraq really stopped terrorism, and then maybe people will start to agree something good came out of this war.

I support the troops over there - they are doing their job, and they have no choice in that. But I blame the b@stards that were so full of themselves that they thought the military didn't know what they were talking about and went into Iraq anyways. Maybe Bush and Cheney should be lynched. . .

I was able to speak to a friends son recently and in talking with him and one of his buddies I asked how they were feeling. They knew about Reid and Pelosi in syria and they wanted to know why people in congress would say such things, that we are winning in Iraq and that these two people have no idea what is going on.

These men seemed very disheartened but since I am a bit older I do not think I got the complete truth, the anger they feel towards the democrats and the media.

It was disheartening to me to hear them. They risk their lives regularly for AMerica and then have to hear garbage like spews from the democrats pie holes.

What I wonder is how it makes our troops feel to know they are required to train private contractors to do their jobs starting at five times what they get paid for the same work, and that their tours of duty are being extended, veterans benefits denied, and that should they be injured they will return to substandard care.

What I wonder is how it makes our troops feel to know they are fighting an unjust, unprovoked war with insufficient armor and troop strength to accomplish the stated mission, all the while corporations back home are profiteering off their labor.

No one is undermining their work, they are talking about the validity in the war. Since when did critizing war equate to not supporting the troops except in the strange world of Bush rhetoric. We have spent $400 billion of our tax money on this war. That's a lot and no end in sight. We have to do something different.

Seems like you would have to ask them how they feel to get an answer to this question. From what I have read, many of the troops agree that we should be drawing down our forces, and many personally would like to go home right away. I'm sure there are others who feel that Congressional Democrats are undermining their morale. But you really need to ask them.

Their "great work"? Meaning what? Killing civilians, air bombing cities and towns? Occupying a nation that posed no threat? Destroying the infrastructure and looting? What great work?

How does it make them feel to know that their Commander in Chief lied to put them in harms way. The war in Iraq is all about lies. It didn't have to happen. No U.S. troops should have died there. Bush has undermined all of us.
