First of all, I am not surprised in the least that the liberal media is already declaring victory for the 2008 Presidential election. After all, everytime the Dem's didn't win, the first thing the media reported what what they needed to do to win the next election. But this time, when they won, instead of giving the Rep's the same treatment about what they need to do, they went out and partied with the Dem's.
As for who will win the next election, I think there's no way to call it at this point. I think it's going to be like many of our recent elections, very, very, very close.
The country is split right down the middle, and instead of trying to heal our country, the Dem's and Rep's have a bad habit of worsening the divide. Especially with what the Dem's are doing with the troop funding right now. There are plenty of conservatives that are mightily pissed about it. Me included, as my baby brother is one of those soldiers they are leaving high and dry!
I pray for a conservative victory in 2008, but really, there is no way to know for sure.
Everyone that runs has a chance.

This may be oversimplistic, but the right guy has always got a chance. At this point in time going back in history there would not even be any announced cantidates as yet,
Rudy and John are both viable. And, it also may boil down to, as it often does (read: Bush v. Gore) who is running on the other team. If it is Hillary, I think the party of Nancy and Hillary haven't got a snowballs chance in hell. Harry Reid too, is very confrntational, so that ticket, Hillary at the top, and Nancy and Harry in #2 and 3 positions, sorry, no deal,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Mainstreet America is dead first of all. It was sold down the river by folks who would rather save a few bucks by shopping at Wal Marts than support local economies.
Any half witted voter knows the two major parties have a 50/50 shot. For me Obama is the strongest out of all the candidates. If you've noticed, a significant portion of the electorate is not satisfied with the job Bush has done which hurts the Republicans chances. Who do you predict will rise from the crumbling GOP and crush the "Socialist" running on the Democrat ticket? I like Ron Paul, but he won't survive the primary.

Despite what the liberal media is trying to feed us,the democrats don't have any chance in 2008.Their do nothing congress and the way they fooled the sheeple to vote for them will turn most people against them. Then there are traitors like Reid and Peloseri who destroy any chance of a Democratic win in 08.Americans are smart and will not give our country over to the party of surrender and immorality.I truly believe God Himself will not allow America to be destroyed by a disastrous democratic win in 08

I agree with you after thinking about it.
I guess it all depends on who the candidates are and what has happened in the last months before the election since voters tend to have a very short memory.

actually the majority of Americans are Liberal.. the Majority of those that Vote are slightly (traditionally) Conservative... just an fyi there.. but anyway... the president is only 1/3 of the equation.. look at Congress.. Dems had control there for over 40 years hands down... so there has been a decent balance of power.. but I digress... to answer your question yes, it is too early to call.. but for the first time the Dems have raised more money than the Repubs... so many are taking that as a sign of the times.

I agree that any predictions right now would be premature. There are not even any "set" candidates. A lot can change between now and election time.

I think the American people are smarter than you think. The population of blue states are on the coasts (where the better colleges and universities are, I may add) and are also more populous regions. Beyond that there is a reason many Americans specifically voted Democrat in this last election and it will continue to do so in the coming election. 37% support Bush I wouldn't by no means call that a majority.

Considering the incompetence and corruption found in this administration and the GOP (Jack Abramoff, etc), I wouldn't say it's extreme to suggest a Democratic sweep in '08.
I do agree however, that it is premature at this point. However, unless the GOP makes a serious effort to distance itself from this very stubborn and foolish White House, a Dem sweep in '08 is not that far-fetched.
