This is my first month being back on bc pills. I was wondering, if you happen to miss a couple pills in a row, are your chances of getting pregnant the same as if you weren't on the pill or are your chances increased?

There are conflicting studies, but missing a couple pills in a row does put you at risk of getting pregnant. Follow the package insert instructions - I think missing two in a row generally means use another form of BC for the remainder of your cycle.

There are studies that indicate women who are on BC but miss a couple pills are more likely to have fraternal twins than women not on the pill!

Your chances are somewhat decreased even if you skip a couple of pills and end up ovulating. This is because as a secondary defense the pill creates an enviornment that makes it hard for a fertilized egg to implant. You can still get pregnant, lots of women do, but no it's the same as if you weren't taking the pill at all.

After getting off from any birth control, your fertility is equal to someone who has never been on birth control.
