why does he want to put it in your name? You aren't being unreasonable, but you are being unrealistic....people that have trucks are always being asked by someone to borrow them.....
sounds like this is just going to be a constant fight between the two of you if you have to have rules....

In a way yes and no. I think its okay to let a family member borrow the car but someday you might need the favor. In the other hand if its for no reason just to go out I would say no. How about if they wreck or do something. The owner is always on the hook unless you can prove otherwise. I was once in a situation like this. A cousin ask my husband to borrow out truck. He used it once ot twice just to go out with his girl. Well I got upset and told my husband. He ignored me. Well to make the short story, he wrecked our truck while being drunk and we only had liability. Just imagine the rest.

Yes...if you were going to tell who could and could not drive my truck...id forget about the truck and put the money toward an appartment. P.S. just because its in your name it still belongs to both of you. By your logic if his name is the only one on the deed, then its his house and he can tell you who you are allowed to have over. The name on the title is merely a legal formality

it's a new truck and no i don't think you're being unreasonable. Not everyone is going to try to drive someone elses vehicle with caution and seeing that you guys are probably going to be making payments on it for a while i wouldn't want any one else to drive it either.

Why is the truck going to be in your name? Why not in joint names? His and yours. It's not unreasonable, though, for a truck that YOU own to be driven only by YOU.

No. It's in your name argo whatever they do can be put back on you. If they wreck the truck and the person is hurt they can sue you. If he wants to give it to his family, then you might want to tell him that it should be put in his name. But since you both could owe a house I would really think about them letting them borrow it period.

Yes, you are. Your husband is not your child and you have no right to give him rules to follow. If he loans the truck out it is his responsibility.

If it's only in your name then you aren't. If they want to borrow the truck then I guess they have to borrow you or your husband to drive it as well.

I don't know, is he willing to pay for the extra insurance it would cost to insure other people besides him? If he is, then no problem. If he isn't, it's YOUR call who gets to drive your truck.
