mg? dont you mean Megabits?
Im assuming that should be for download. Check who your provider is, and ask them how many feet you are from their main station.
www.speakeasy.net for the best speed tester.
If your test results are less than what your contract bandwidth should be, then you can call them up and have them check it out. Make sure that you do a screenshot of the test results and save them. Also, do a test while idling, while downloading something large, and at different times of day, like afternoon, morning, and late night.

Looks like your speed is OK, 210kbps is around what you get on a 2mb connection.
if you are getting up to 500kbps then you are probably actually on an up to 8mb adsl max service which will have a more variable speed. Don't see any problems with those speeds

If you have a 2Mbps Internet connection then you are getting your appropriate speed. You aren't getting a 2MB/s connection; it is a 2Mb/s connection. The first refers to 2 megabytes, while the latter is 2 megabits. Using a conversion calculate on the site below calculates the kilobytes per second to be 250KB/s.

Yea, they claim 2Mb/s but it really only equals out to ~250KB/s.
This is based on the relation of Bits to Bytes.
1 Byte = 8 Bits.
If you have a 2 Megabit connection, you have to divide it by 8 to get the amount in Bytes.
2.00 Megabit divided by 8 = .25 Megabytes or 250Kilobytes per second.

cable or dsl?
cable is known to fluctuate.
are you on a wireless router? someone could be "stealing" your signal and using excessive bandwidth on your account.
if that's just your download speed, that's actually not abnormal, and not an accurate reading of speed.
if it's only happening during the day, it sounds like a bad service provider or someone's bumming your wireless signal.
grow up, sublime. entirely inappropriate.

If you're on 2MB broadband this doesn't mean you'll get 2MB/s download speed, what your test shows it what you are probably downloading at..But hey, I'm only 14, not too sure about it ;) But I think it's correct
