Love is patient; love is kind

and envies no one.

Love is never boastful, nor conceited, nor rude;

never selfish, not quick to take offense.

There is nothing love cannot face;

there is no limit to its faith,

its hope, and endurance.

In a word, there are three things

that last forever: faith, hope, and love;

but the greatest of them all is love.

Love takes over the mind, body and soul, that's power. Have you ever chatted to someone about the silliest of things, the most serious of things or just chatted in general? Have you ever had just a touch without a word being spoken and know what is being said? Have you ever lay beside someone not talking or touching and just felt an overwhelming sense of ease and comfort.
Have you ever spoke to someone so openly and with great ease about XXX (don't know if I can say but you know what I mean) finding out exactly what they like or dislike. Have you ever being with someone and XXX doesn't always come into it. Have you ever understood someone so much so that your patient? Have you ever felt every bone, muscle, tendon etc ache when they're not around? Have you been supported and not feel you have to support back? Have you ever gone to sleep thinking about someone and woke up thinking about someone so much that you want that person with you all the time? I could go on. That's LOVE and that's why it's so powerful, even if you have nothing (material things etc) it makes life bearable and worth living.

Love is the strongest emotion. It's what brought us into being. It's what lights our fire. It's what keeps us alive. It's the meaning of life whether people choose to admit it or not. It is as basic & necessary as food, water, shelter, yet it is transcendental, the highest of needs. It fills the soul. It brings us home.

We are not just bodies. We are beings inside the bodies. Love reminds us that we are more than what we seem. It connects us with a universal energy as old as time. It brings us closer to God.

I don't know if I can adequately express what it is. It's not something you can put into words.

Love is looking into someone's eyes & feeling at home. Love is laughing with someone. Crying in someone's arms. Love is that prickly intoxicating excitement when you're about to kiss. Love is the comfort of relaxing on the sofa with your best friend. Love is the feeling of protectiveness you feel, like you'd take a bullet or run into a burning building to protect them. Love is standing on a clifftop & watching the sunrise & feeling the cool wind sting your cheek as a tear falls from your eye because you've never seen anything so beautiful. Love is watching a newborn kitten or a baby bird. Love is being struck by the awesome wonder of life and the extraordinarily breathtaking beauty of a planet we too often take for granted. Love is Beethoven, a piece of classical music so exquisite & so sad that it seems to reach into your heart. Love is a feeling like being lost & found all a once. A feeling like falling & being exalted...

Why is love so powerful? It is as important as the blood in our veins the breath in our lungs. It is the stuff of life. Everything we do, feel and create in life comes from love. Without it, we could not exist...

And all the ugliness and evil and hatred and violence in the world can not vanquish it. And even death can not end it.

Amor vincit omnia.
Love conquers all.

Love is difficult to describe as is the case with all other emotions. It just happens. You want the company of that person all the time. When away from him/her, you are immersed in that person's thoughts. You want to do everything and anything to keep your beloved happy and put his welfare before yours. You are ready for any sacrifice so long he is happy. Love also makes you a better person. You become more humane and yes, you do have a silly grin on your face all the time. Love makes you do impossible things, which you thought you were incapable of and surprisingly, the tasks become so much easier and you do them happily.

I think that's a long lecture but genuinely, I have undergone all of it......

never been there to that point or never done that. lol

i fell in love once, i got told, abandoned, and degraded. It was a powerful feeling over the time, still is. But my mind is stronger than my emotions, I am tackling it like nothing. I can't really say it is more powerful than my whole being or I'd be gone insane, succumbing into pieces and sorrow after after all that have happened to me.

Love is so powerful because it is the one emotion that makes us rise above our own needs and do amazing selfless acts without expecting any form of reward or compensation. It is free and cannot be bought and owned by anyone exclusively. Unlike any other resource we consider valuable, it will not and cannot ever run out, it is renewable and it is available to all that want it.

Love is powerful because Love has ALL POSSIBLE FEELINGS COMBINED.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again.

In order to REALLY REALLY love someone, you MUST be willing to give your every feeling to him/her.

Love, Hate, Remorse, Anger, Passion, Fear, Caution, Safety, Guilt, Aggression, Protection, Kind, Care...etc.etc.etc.

Only then, can you love someone .... COMPLETELY.

It is an emotion that cannot be explained, so there is a comfort in knowing that you don't have to find where it is coming from.
