6 = rate for regular time

9 = rate for overtime

12 = rate for holidays

40 x 6 = 240

6.5 x 9 = 58.5

8 x 12 = 96

240 + 58.5 + 96 = 394.5

Mary Stevens will recieve $ 394.5

$6 is earned per hour over a 40 hour period. [6*$40=$240]

$9 is earned over a 6.5 hour perid. [$9 coming from $6*1.5, which is then multiplied by 6.5, the hours worked. $9*6.5=$58.5]

$12 is earned over an 8 hour perod [ $12 coming from $6*2, which is then multiplied by 8, the hours worked over holidays. $12*8=$96]

Once each of these are worked out they are simply added together $240 + $58.5 + $96 = $394.50
