i mean can the flame just come back after time.

Sure. There's no "real" flame, but there was attraction to begin with, and you both may have matured in a way that draws you back together again. Each year thousands of straight couples remarry their former spouses. Gay folks are no different.

Yes.... but I have this thing where I go over questions if I'm in this predicament. I ask myself, why did the relationship end in the first place and will it happen again? (that's a major question), and why do you think the other person is up for it as well?

Just think about it carefully but if it's meant to be go for it
