That's a tough one because humor is a relative thing. According to my taste in humor I would pick Jerry Seinfeld, but their is also an Argentinian comedian (now dead) that is hilarious. But in America the type of humor enjoyed is different so I'm sure no one would enjoy the Argentinian type of humor.

Bob Hope or Groucho Marx, take your pick. I'd personally say: Bob Hope because of the extensive work he'd done off-the-cuff (beyond movies & tv & nightclubs) including Hosting the Oscars for years, entertaining USO troops/tours for 60 years (you try that) by the millions. His movies and TV specials were incredible - and there for the searching/seeing. What's funny back then, is still. If Hope were alive now (pun intentional), he'd be making $25mil per film - and guys like Jim Carrey would be huddled in fear, that he'd riff on them with unmatched wit. His Road movies with Bing Crosby are still funny - harder to be funny in B & W....Or, ALF...!!
