I'm not a huge fan or the rhyming thing. That and I really don't like the name Shawna for a girl - I don't know what it is. Also, Shawn is a very very common name for a boy.

Nice names but too similar for twins. They will forever be getting mixed up when you call for them. How about Shawn and Shayna. Or Shane and Shawna. Atleast the main vowel will differentiate the names enough so that they will be able to tell who is being called.

I like the Shane and Shauna suggestion. Although Shawn and Shawna are adorable names together, They sound way too much alike. They are growing up in the same household and you're going to want the right one to come if you're mad at one of them. Kids tend to develop a "smart alec" streak. I can see Shawna doing something that upsets you and Shawn coming when you're yelling after her just to be funny. Don't do that to yourself.

I like Shawna for a girl, but I would definately not name them names so close together. I wouldn't even have them start with the first letter.

Noooooo, don't do it! Shawn and Shawna do not sound like names of educated, well-to-do twins. It sounds more like George Foreman naming all of his kids some version of "George." Kind of dumb and cutesy.

Both names are respectable on their own, but not together.

You want them to go to college, right? Give them a good start in life by giving them thoughtful names, not cutesy ones.

They sound really similar and they might get confusing. How about changing the vowel sound so that they're Shane and Shawna. Or Shawn and Shanna?

I don't like them. They are way to similar for twins. Maybe Shane and Shawna, but still very close.

nah, matching names are so cliche. If the names go well thats a different story. Are you sure its a boy and a girl? If so which of sean and shawna do you like more? pick a name around the one you like more...like if you like sean, think of nice girls names that for with it like sara, or stephanie.

Yell them outloud. They sound too similar for when you are trying to have a heated arrgument. Shawn get your little a$$ in here... then Shawna walks in. It ruins the mood. :)

The similar spelling will cause mix ups all over the place. I like the sound of them but I would try and find others
How about Shawn and Serena?
