I’ve just watched today’s CNN morning show. John Roberts (CNN host) asked Elizabeth Cohen(CNN reporter) about the Melamine. John Roberts asked: Melamine is an ingredient in our dishes, furniture, flooring, etc.. Is it really possible to get into our food supply chain? Elizabeth Cohen replied: Melamine is from China, It is possible that the China company had deliberately implanted into American food supply chain.

That really sounds like either CNN or Cohens had implanted racial violence seed between Americans and Chinese-Americans.
Cohen family is big American Jewish family, spreading across American judicial, academic, media, financial, national defense, (etc.--you name it) key areas.

Look like they harbor so much hatred againt China/Chinese, that they would step out of Jounalism bounds to inflame racial hatred.

Unfortunately this was a plot that was originally foiled by the CIA a few years back. It was real. They had smuggled in agents through the Canadian border and gave them fake US documents for working in the food distribution industry within the US.

There are many factions worldwide that would like to harm US citizens within the borders of the US. But it is not really China versus the US. It is radicals versus the US. In this particular case they happened to be Chinese.

People tend to focus on one or two traits about people or groups that try to plot things like this. Unfortunately that means there is a LOT of racial stereotyping going on and a lot of blame being put on racial and economic and religious groups as well - rather than on just he individuals.

So in the end, people being people, they blame the Chinese in general, instead of either (a) blaming it on an accident, or (b) blaming it on a radical group.

In the case of the recent Melamine poisonings in the US, you have to remember that it is still legal to use Melamine in China - and they probably never even though twice about using it on their crops. So the poisonings are probably 100% accidental.

As to whether or not any of the Melamine wheat has entered the human food supply within the US - here is the latest.

Melamine tainted wheat, rice and corn gluten has been confirmed worldwide, all of it originating from 3 companies in China. So far within the US, a possible recall of pork and ham based products originating from some farms within the US may be done since hogs used for human food were fed the contaminated wheat, rice and corn gluten.

Apparantly pumpernickel rye bread is the only type of bread that does not use wheat, rice or corn gluten. Otherwise every other type of bread does. And so does canned soups, and most fast food items as well. Are the contaminated? Only time will tell.

Your lumping 1 person named Cohen to all Cohen's shows your true agenda. Should we have blamed everyone named Johnson for the lies associated with LBJ? Nobody can really accuse CNN of an anti Connunist mindset. I'm sure that neither John Roberts nor Elizabeth Cohen have the slightest idea what melamine is. Both probably signed the petition to ban dihydrogen monoxide.

If something is produced in China, why should that affect Chinese Americans? What's with this ethnic picknicking? Chinese Americans are as Americans as the rest of us. Maybe we are at fault for importing so much stuff from China in the first place, as if the FDA would allow the China Company to deliberately implanted into American food supply chain, as you so sagely wrote.

Chinese Americans are not China.
It is common knowledge that Chinese industry and government (in China!) do not respect intellectual property or patents; there is obviously a lack of accountability in that country.
This has nothing to do with race. There are problems in other countries too, some mainly Caucasian and some mainly Black.
I expect that as China's industrial economy advances, there will be much better quality control.
