I don't think it's gross. Would you think it was gross if I told you that I masturbate? Masturbation is a perfectly healthy, normal thing to do.

Well in high school many girls may think it's gross because guys usually get "some" all the time around that age and when you say that u masterbate they take it as if your a loser... no offence

I agree if your talking with young girls they dont know their body well enough to understand. As Girls get older and adhere to everyday stress..they them realize that its a wonderful way to learn what makes you feel good and realive stress. I masturbate, but if asked by a friend I would probably say Ewwwww gross....just look for a smirk with it...that always tell shes lieing. Girls are more reserved doesnt mean they would let it out with someone they know is discreet. And If shes not into it...the shes one of those weird ones that think its perverted or vile...Shes weird not you..you are in tune with yourself...They are small minded people who have know one and wonder why! Just b/c it's normal doesn't mean you talk about it. Yes, masturbation is normal, but it's also gross when you imagine someone else doing it. Diarrhea can be normal too, but you wouldn't go around telling a girl you liked all about it and expect her not to think it's gross, would you?

i think mostly because they dont know what to say about it. its not a gross thing, it is a very normal thing, but for me at least, the idea of someone else masturbating is disturbing, but when i do it, its ok.
does that make any sense?

Because that is what is expected of the little, shy, ladylike person. Society has continued to view women as dainty, lovely, and bashful. So why would we expect any other type of reaction.

If you are talking about young girls, it's because they don't know how the body works and how normal it is. If you are talking about older girls, then it's because they are in denial. Women do it too.
